Within NaturalHR the character limit of a field depends on the field "type" - if it is a single line text box then the limit is generally 255 characters, including spaces.

Multi-line text boxes are unlimited length.

In Form Builder all field lengths are unlimited
There are a small number of fields which are shorter for things like postcode/zip code and telephone numbers for example, but those are the exception and not the rule.
