Assigning Multiple Length of Service types
Length of Service Time Off types can be used to automatically give employees additional time off allowances based on their Length of Service. Previously, only one Length of Service type could be assigned to each employee. We have now added the ability for multiple Length of Service types to be assigned to Employees and for those allowances to be correctly recorded and displayed. We have also added the ability for employees to earn their first Length of Service increment at 0 years, i.e. before they have completed their first full year of service.
Assigning a rule
Once a rule has been created, this will need to be assigned to the relevant employees, there are no additional settings to enable this, just that at least one length of service type is created. All that's required is to assign the additional Length of Service types to the employee using one of the existing methods:
-
Administration -> HR -> Time Off Management -> Time Off Types -> Actions -> Assign or
-
People -> Employees -> Financial -> Benefits.
-
The "Accrual type" field is now a multi-select instead of a drop-down so you can add or remove assigned LOS types here by typing their names (to add) or clicking the X (to remove).
Or by viewing the Time Off Types page and clicking Actions -> Assign.
