How do I manually trigger a task workflow?
Once you have created your Task workflow you will be able to trigger this workflow either in bulk or against a specific employee.
Triggering the workflow in bulk
To trigger a task workflow in bulk navigate to:
Administration -> HR -> Workflows
Then press the action button on the right of any of your task workflows and select "Publish workflow".
You will then be taken to a page where you can choose how to want to decide what employees this workflow is triggered against.
You can either select Employees, which will allow you to check the "All employees" button or you can select the specific employees you would like to trigger this against from the drop down list
Or you can select Metadata which will allow you to select a combination of Job roles, Departments, Managers (i.e. people who report into the below managers), Sites, Companies, Cost centres, Business units and Headcount classifications in order to target a specific group of employees
Once you have selected the employees you would like press "Submit" in the bottom right and the workflow will trigger for these employees
Note: When triggering workflows this way the system may queue the workflows and trigger them in batches this is to prevent straining the system by trigger multiple workflows/step all at once.
Triggering the workflow for a specific employee
To trigger a task workflow for a specific employee navigate to:
People -> Employees
Then open the employee card for the employee you would like to trigger the workflow for, once you have locate them, under the "Documents and workflows" heading press "Workflows"
You will then be taken to a page with all the workflows that have triggered for this employee, press "Start new workflow" in the bottom right
You can then select the workflow you would like to trigger and press submit.
Note: Only Task - Task, Task - Onboarding and Task - Offboarding workflows will be available in this drop down as Task - Recruitment workflow are to be triggered against candidates not employees.
