How do I find the record ID?
Sometimes, when working with Natural HR Support, you may be asked to send the ID of a record that you are having problems with - the record ID is the system identifier which identifies that unique record in relation to all the other records in your Natural HR system.
Supplying this information when contacting Support means we can deal with your enquiry much more quickly and efficiently as, if you tell us there is a problem with John Smith, it can take us a while to find the right John Smith through the many tens of thousands of employees in the database.
The record ID is always a number and can be anything from 1 digit upwards - it is always shown as part of the URL at the top of the browser window.
In this example, this is the record ID for a time off record:
This shows the record ID for an employee:
In each case, the record ID is displayed as part of the URL when you 'View' or 'Edit' the record. This is the easiest way to get the record ID.
The record ID is also displayed at the bottom of the screen when you hover over a link to 'View' an employee for example.
In this example above, the employee record ID is 677482.
