What is the employee pulse?
The Employee pulse is a colour coded system designed to gauge the feelings of an employee on a particular day.
This feature can be enabled by an administrator under
Administration > Company > Settings > Display Settings
Ensure the Employee Pulse module is enabled under Module Display and click the 'Submit' button.
Once enabled, the Employee Pulse section will appear on the sidebar for all users:
If you click on the little smiley face icon, this should open up the Employee Pulse.
Here, you can choose the three different colours to select from by clicking on the desired colour icon you want to choose. Once you have selected a coloured smiley face, this should open up a box that gives you a option to give a reason on why that is.
Green - If an employee selects the green icon, the system will register that this employee is happy and the pulse section will disappear with no further action until the following day.
Yellow - If an employee selects the yellow, neutral icon the system will register that this employee is neither happy nor unhappy - if this is selected, a small text box will appear below asking for a reason why the employee feels this way.
Red - If an employee selects the red icon, the system will register that this employee is unhappy. Likewise to the Yellow icon, a small text box will appear asking for a why the employee is unhappy.
Viewing Employee Pulse response
All of the submitted responses are fed-back to HR, these can viewed by going to:
Administration -> HR -> Employee Pulse
A segregated, coloured bar will quickly depict the results at a glance showing the number of employees associated with each response.
Below the bar, a table will show a comprehensive view of all responses with their ratings and any reasons which have been submitted alongside the result.
The Date Submitted column, will display the date the Pulse Feedback was submitted.
Inside the table, there are filters allowing you to filter by Employee and/or rating.
Additional filtering can be applied using the filters located above the coloured bar to show more specific sets of data.
Administrators and HR users can now record comments alongside Employee Pulse entries. These are not visible to employees and can be used to record any additional information or actions taken. To record a comment, simply click the 'Actions' button then 'Comment'. You will then be able to record your comment in the text box provided:
These comments are displayed on the table of employee pulses under the HR Comments column.
The 'Last Commented Date column, will show when a comment was added by an Admin or HR user to show that this has been updated.
