How do I run the Timeoff range report (Standard)?
Within the Natural HR Report builder, there are a number of pre-built standard reports, including the option to run a Time off range report (Standard) which will allow you to view all time off within a particular date range. These reports can be shared with other access level users, click here to read the article on sharing Standard reports.
To access the Time off range report (Standard), you will need to go to:
Administration -> Company -> Report Builder Permissions
Once on this page find the timeoff range report and tick the corresponding checkbox:
Then simply enter the employee(s) you'd like to share the report with and click Submit.
Now when those employees navigate into
Reports -> Report Builder
They'll see the report listed.
The report can be edited by clicking the Actions button followed by Edit.
You can customise this report to better suit your business needs by:
- Changing the report name
- Add or remove any fields as required
- Edit field names or rearrange the order they will appear on your report
- Select a Group by field if required
- Add your own start and end dates for the range you want to report on
- Click 'Edit report' followed by 'View Report'
Each of the lines in the table will represent a single date where an employee has time off entered between the date range. If a request spans across multiple different days, each of these days will show as an individual line in the report.
Filtering the Time off range report
Use the 'Request ID' to group and identify those lines which are linked to the same request.
The report is now grouped by the 'Request ID'
but the Date column could be improved by sorting the date. Here we have selected
Date
Ascending
as one of our 'Select order by fields'
Using filters, the report can be manipulated further.
For example, we can add another filter by clicking on the '+'
We can change the start and end dates and then add a filter, in this case we will add:
Reason
Equals
Sickness & Absence and Physical injury (broken bone etc.)
The report will now show only instances of Sickness & Absence and Physical injury (broken bone etc.) between the chosen date range.
