Employee Views
Within Natural HR, it is possible for the administrator to control what the employee can see and do within the system. The Employee Views options control various aspects of the employee home page display, as well as the options available in the Self Service menus.
To access these options you should go to:
Administration -> Company -> Settings -> Display Settings
Select or Scroll to the section entitled "Employee Views".
The options in this section are described below:
Employee Portal - When this is set to "Yes", this will display a panel at the top of the employee's home screen allowing them to easily access and submit their requests, including Timeoff, Expenses etc. depending on the modules enabled within your account. More information can be found here.
Show my team - This allows information around the employee's team, including their profile photos, job titles and links to their entries in the company directory, to be displayed on their homepage. There are several choices to determine how you define the employee's "team".
- No - Team information will not be shown on the homepage.
- Yes - manager - The employee's team will be determined based on their manager.
- Yes - department - The employee's team will be determined based on their department.
- Yes - site - The employee's team will be determined based on their site.
- Yes - company - The employee's team will be determined based on their company.
Limit 'my team' based on job level
This setting allows you to filter based on the job role level of employees. The manager will always appear. To ensure the relevant employees appear on the home page, check out our Adding job roles support article that will advise on how to add job role levels.
Show people I am following - When set to "Yes", this will display on the home page the photos and social profile links of any colleagues who the employee "follows" in the social stream The employee can "follow" a colleague by clicking the icon next to their name on one of their social stream posts.
Show my job details - Selecting these options will show these details to the employee within self-service. The details are displayed under Self Service > My Personal Details > My Job.
Show my timeoff allowance - When set to "Yes", this displays a new menu item under Self Service > My Personal Details > My Timeoff Allowance which gives the employee a view of their timeoff allowances.
Show my Bradford Factor score - When set to "Yes", this displays the employee's bradford factor next to their timeoff donut on their Timeoff page (Self Service > My Requests > Timeoff).
Employee upload documents - When set to "Yes", this will allow the user to upload documents. The "Upload" button can be found on the Documents page.
Employee map visible to employees - When set to "Yes", the employee will be able to access their timeoff map by going to Self Service > My Requests > Timeoff map.
Reviews visible to employees - When set to "Yes", this will allow employees to view and complete published review forms by going to Self Service > My Development > My Reviews.
Goals visible to employees - This setting controls whether employees can add, view or update their goals using self-service. When enabled, the employee can find their goals under Self Service > My Development > My Goals. There are 4 options available:
- No - Employees will not be able to view or update goals.
- Yes - view only - Employees will be able to view goals, but not update them.
- Yes - employee can update - Employees will be able to view and update their goals.

Yes - employee can add and update - Employees will be able to add goals, as well as viewing and updating existing goals.
When set to any of the three "Yes" options, a further option appears:
Show goal progress on employee home screen - This will display a graphical view of the status of the employee's goals on their home screen.
Competency chart visible to employees - This setting controls whether employees can view or update their competencies chart. When enabled, the employee can find their competency chart under Self Service > My Development > My Competencies. There are 3 options available:
- No - Employees will not be able to view or update competencies.
- Yes - view only - Employees will be able to view their competencies, but not update them.
- Yes - employee can update - Employees will be able to view and update their competencies.
Warnings visible to employees - When set to "Yes", employees will be able to see the details of any warnings which have been allocated to them. This can be found under Self Service > My Development > My warnings.
Working pattern visible to employees on calendar - When set to "Yes", the employee will be able to see a view of their working pattern on the calendar available on their home page.
Payments visible to employees - When set to "Yes", employees will be able to view their payments under Self Service > My personal details > My payments.
Org chart visible to employees - When set to "Yes", employees will be able to view the organisation chart by clicking on the org chart icon in the left hand menu.
Planner visible to employees - If this is set to yes, the Planner will be visible to employees with no restrictions, for example they will see all other employees in all departments.
Vehicles - When set to "Yes", the employee will be able to view details of any vehicles assigned to them under Self Service > My personal details > My vehicles.
Privacy Settings - If the setting is set to No, this will revert to any defaults set and any individually chosen settings will then be removed.
