Time off attachments
Natual HR allows you to add up to 5 optional or mandatory attachments to time off types by going to
Administration > HR > Time off management > Time off types
Select the edit icon (pencil) under Actions for the time off type you would like to enable the attachments option for OR select ‘Add’ to include this in your time off type setup.
Scroll down to the Settings section of the time off type edit screen
The attachments drop down can be set to the following options:
None – no documents are required when booking this time off type
Yes - optional – Then enter a value in the 'Attachment quantity (max 5)' field. Document can be added when booking this time off type but it is not imperative
Yes - mandatory – Then enter a value in the 'Attachment quantity (max 5)' field. Documents relating to this time off type must be added in order for this to be approved.
Please Note: The mandatory setting only applies to the first upload attachment field, any fields after are not mandatory.
If the quantity for attachments is left blank, this will default to 1attachment. If more than the quantity of five is entered in the attachment quantity field, the system will default to 5 documents.
PLEASE NOTE: All five fields cannot be made to be mandatory. Only the first field can be made mandatory.
Previously, time off requests booked using an unauthorised time off type had the option of a adding an attachment by default (no settings were required).
All time off types that were previously set to 'Authorised - No' are still set to what was previously in use, so no changes surrounding attachments will be shown for these types.
If you wish to alter this, you can edit the time off type as shown above.
