Timeoff Donut - No Allowance
On each employee's card view in Natural HR, you can see there is a circular display known as a 'donut'. This 'donut' normally shows the total of all of the employee's time off allowances in Individual Allowance types, with segments for the number of days off booked, taken, used in mandatory days (if applicable) and remaining. For example:
In this example, the employee has a total of 34 days allowance (29 days Annual holiday and 5 days Length of service). On the donut, 14 days have been taken, 8 days are used up by the company's mandatory day (public holidays)s, 3 days are booked, and there are 9 days remaining.
In some circumstances, you may have a scenario where the employee doesn't have allowances of a given type, but you do want to record and display the number of days they have taken. The system contains an option to allow time off of this type to be displayed in the 'Donut'.
With this option switched on, the donut display changes:
This is showing that the employee has booked or taken 2 days. The value in the centre of the donut also changes - instead of showing the total number of days remaining, it shows the total number of days booked/taken.
This feature can be enabled on a company level by going to:
Administration > Company > Settings > Time off settings (global)
Under the 'Display settings' section, change the setting 'Time off no allowances' to 'Yes'.
It can also be enabled on a site level by going to:
Administration > HR > Data management > Sites
Please note that site-level time off settings need to be enabled in order to switch on this feature for an individual site. For further information on site level time off settings click here. Once enabled, under the 'Display settings' section, change the setting 'Time off no allowances' to 'Yes'.
Once you have enabled the setting, you will need to choose which Time off Types to include in the total in the donut. To do this, go to:
Administration > HR > Time off management > Time off types
Click the 'Pencil' icon in the actions column to edit a time off type. Under the 'Display settings' heading, change the setting 'Time off no allowances' to 'Yes'.
The time off donut will then contain the total of the number of days booked or taken for all of the time off types with this setting combined.
