Within the Documents module in Natural HR, it is possible to enable a feature which will allow users to search through documents stored in the system.
To enable this feature as an administrator, navigate to:
Administration > Company > Settings > Company Settings
in the 'Document management' section set the 'Enable document meta search' setting to 'Yes'
Click on the 'Submit' button to save your changes.
Once this has been enabled, a search box appears within the Documents module, accessed by navigating to
Documents > Company documents
(as an administrator or HR user) or simply Documents (as an employee).
Enter your search term in the field provided and choose which type of documents to search:
- Both types of documents
- Company documents only
- Employee documents only
Click the 'Search' button to start the search.
The entered search term will be used to search the names and descriptions of documents in the system and, in the case of company documents, the search metadata for the document.
