How do I use Employee Warnings?
Within the performance module, there is an option for Employee Warnings where you can add in records of warnings on Employee files.
How to add a new warning
It is possible to add a new warning for an employee by going to -
Performance -> Warnings
Once here click Add at the bottom of the screen to add a new warning. When adding in a new warning for an employee you will be asked to select which employee the warning relates to. The next field down relates to warning types. If you haven't defined your own custom warning types, the system will provide you with a prepopulated list to choose from.
You can define you own warning types in the section below.
Administration -> HR -> Data Management -> Warning Types
Once added in, the system then will only allow you to select the warning types that you have defined when adding in a new warning. You will then need to select a start and end date for the warning along with a reason for the warning being issued.
The warning themselves will be able to be viewed in the warnings section of the performance module
Performance -> Warnings
Or alternatively, they can be accessed through the view screen on the employee card
People -> Employees -> View -> Warnings
You can enable it so managers can view the warnings for their employees with the option 'Access performance warnings' in the display settings.
Administration -> Company -> Settings -> Display Settings
In the Employee Views section, you can also enable an option so that employees can view their warnings in the employee self-service menu. This is the 'Warnings visible to employees' option.
Once enabled, the employee will be able to view but not edit or delete their warnings via the below menu.
Self Service -> My Development -> My Warnings
