Absence rate calculation
Employee absence rate appears in two places within the Natural HR system, on the Admin and HR access level user home screen dashboards for the whole company,
and in reports using the 'Absence stats*' data source for individual employees.
The company absence rate shown on the home screen dashboard tile is calculated by Natural HR as:
(A) the total number of unauthorised time off days in a rolling 12 month rolling period for all employees
(B) Total number of days all employees could have worked in the 12 month rolling period
(C) Absence Rate
A/B=C
The absence rate for an individual employee, shown in the report above, is the total number of days lost as a percentage of the total days an employee could have worked, for example:
Employee works 5 days per week
Working days 5 * 52 = 260
Days absence 26
Absence rate (26 / 260) * 100 = 10%
Employee works 3 days per week
Working days 3 * 52 = 156
Days absence 9
Absence rate (9 / 156) * 100 = 5.77%
