Duplicating a Form
Within Natural HR, the ‘Form Builder’ enables HR users to create forms for various individuals within the company to complete.
When building a form, you might want to create a form based on an already existing form. To this end, we have the ability to duplicate forms. The "duplicated" form can then be edited and used as the basis for a new form. This is commonly used for performance reviews as questions from a previous review can be duplicated and used for another.
If you are logged in as an administrator, you can access the Form Builder through:
Administration -> Company -> Form Builder
The first step is to create a new blank form of the same type as the form you're duplicating.
Click ‘Add’ and you will be brought to the form builder screen where you can enter the properties of your form. Once the mandatory fields are completed, you can submit the form. Remember, to make the form active in the system you need to ensure that the ‘Status’ field is set to ‘Active’:
It's also important to note at this stage the 'Form Type' field. The Form Type you choose here should be the same as the form you are duplicating from. So, if you want to duplicate a Performance Review form, your new form should also be a Performance Review form:
Once you have completed these fields, you will be presented with the form builder itself. We don't need to add any fields here, as we'll be copying them from the original form.
Click the 'Finish Building Form' button at the bottom of the page:
Once you have done this, fields from another form can be duplicated into it.
Return to the list of forms in Form Builder, find the blank form you have created and click the Actions button followed by Duplicate fields from another form into this form.
This will bring you to the following page:
Choose the form you want to duplicate from in the "Duplicate fields from" drop-down and click Submit. This will populate your new form with all of the fields from the original form.
